This is an abandoned homestead near Davidson College. Amazing to think that a family once lived out their lives there. Now, it is overgrown, ragged and all but completely on the ground. So I ventured out and decided to have some creepy fun with it as the setting for some grim reaper type imagery. So with a cloak, noose and the death of winter surrounding me, this is what I created.
Register to join us on May 10th in and around Centennial Olympic Park for our next workshop.
Night photography is fun and can be very tricky. We will have a chance to get some really long exposures while capturing movement, light and colors. We will go into the differences in exposure times and the different effects they can produce. With the Sky Wheel and the water park, there is no end to the possibilities. We can also shoot the Atlanta skyline as it goes from sunset to dark. Light changes quickly around sunset, colors get richer, and the photography gets really fun!
It was just a beautiful, clear night a couple of weeks ago. So, I went in the backyard and captured these.
